FireHawks Win 2 More to Improve to 6-1 on the season!

The U9 FC Tippecanoe FireHawks are playing some great soccer right now. On Tuesday, May 13 the FireHawks beat Celtics Blue 2-0. The FireHawks controlled most of the game but the Celtics defense was tough to crack. A nice goal by AJ Holderman off a cross from Kleather put the FireHawks ahead 1 - 0. Garrett Sass scored on a penalty kick to put the team up 2 - 0 for good.

On Thursday, May 15 the FireHawks took on rival NWC in a game that could decide the league championship. NWC took a 1 - 0 lead in to the half even though the FireHawks had controlled most of the game. NWC went up 2 - 0 early in the second half on a controversial call by the referee leading to a  yellow card for Coach Kandel. However the "never quit" FireHawks increased the intensity and Jackson Smith finally broke through with a goal in front of the goal. Minutes later off of a free kick by Garrett Sass, Levi Baileys netted the FireHawks second goal of the game. And finally with less than 1 minute to in the game, Garrett place a direct kick in front of the goal and Jackson Kleather headed the ball into the net for the 3-2 victory. It was another FireHawks - NWC game that features excellent soccer.

After 7 games played the FireHawks sit at 6 - 1. A win or a tie next Thursday vs. Club X will secure their league championship.
