INTERN Program Spring 2017

The Spring 2017 interns for Performance Central are Patrick Kuntz, Josh Ackerman, and Brianna Kingston. Our interns come to us this spring from Bowling Green State University, Cleveland State University, and Baldwin Wallace University, respectively. Additionally, all of our interns have met specific criteria that ensures that they are knowledgeable and can contribute to the staff on a day to day basis.

The primary objective of our intern program is to provide a stable working environment in which student can learn, develop, and apply principles they have learned in their studies toward athlete development. Interns are responsible for facility preparation and safety, frequently assist our performance specialists during training sessions, run allotted segments for instructors, encouragement of athletes, and general maintenance.

Additionally, interns gain experience in the fields of strength & conditioning, marketing, website management, facility management and maintenance, and more. Interns are able to work highly on their interpersonal skills with not only athletes, but with families, friends, staff, and coaches.

Length of internship is generally 10 weeks or 100+ hours, but can be adjusted to meet the needs of the student. Internship schedules are based on assigned training groups for the week and include weekly intern meetings.

Applications for Summer 2017 and Fall 2017 are now being accepted.
