AC Cugini club officials do not send emails to its Academy program travel teams about practice or game cancellations (although team managers are free to email their team members). The club will send cancelation notices to its Pre-Travel Academy members.We do however post field closing information online,
All AC Cugini members may use one the following methods to obtain home field closing/cancellation information:

Be sure to check for field closure announcements after periods of rain or, in winter, on extremely cold days! In addition, artificial turf fields will be closed if snow or ice covers the field. No one is permitted to remove any snow or ice from the field. We also cancel practices if temperatures are predicted to be below freezing,
- During the Fall and Spring seasons, AC Cugini posts cancellations by 3:00pm during the week and 8:30am on Saturday and Sunday.
- During the Winter season, AC Cugini posts cancellations by 3:00pm on weeknights and 10:00am on Saturday on Sunday.
Cancellations Notices for Home and Away Games for AC Cugini Teams
The team manager or head coach of any team is responsible for notifying parents of any game cancellations and rescheduled matches.
Rescheduling Travel Team Games Played on AC Cugini Home Fields
The team manager of the AC Cugini team or the head coach must contact the opposing team immediately to let them know when a game played at a CUGINI home field has been canceled. Be sure to check for possible rescheduled dates and contact an AC Cugini Fields director or available fields and times. All coaches and team managers must know their league's policy on rescheduling game matches as each league is different.
Virginia Teams Only
When Fairfax County closes fields, AC Cugini must cancel practices and games. Fields are closed because of inclement weather or sometimes, even on sunny days, when grass fields are saturated or too muddy due to prior rain. In winter, we will cancel practices when temperature is below 30 degrees.
Also, per Fairfax County Park Authority rules...IF SNOW OR ICE COVER THE SYNTHETIC FIELDS THEY ARE CLOSED NO MATTER WHAT. REMOVAL OF SNOW OR ICE FROM THE SURFACE OF THE FIELDS IS PROHIBITED. USE OF ICE METLING PRODUCTS IS ALSO PROHIBITED. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR ANY REASON TO REMOVE THE SNOW OR ICE FROM THE SYNTHETIC TURF.
